I have repaired plenty of these. I use luminous powder mixed with watchmakers glue or cement to make a paste and insert it into a thoroughly cleaned out bezel pip hole. This usually lasts a long time and if done properly is very close to original. Use a powder that is the same color as there are many colors or tints available.
The 1000s don't really have a replace able pip like a Rolex but rather just applied lume.
That is my experience but hopefully others will chime in.
