For me not a big surprise. A few quick musings...
Carrera very early example with rare dial, price not crazy at all, not just an ordinary 2447 at all.
Camaro...fair/cheap for an ok example.
2446c actually this one was little high, full sets are worth double imo, esp on Heuer as so rare, but if booklet missing the serial/seller/purchaser part (for whatever reason) then that is the important piece and this full set is by definition less important. If the watch head was worth £4-5k as stellar example, brace £2-2.5k, box/papers £2-3k as with outer sleeves etc, $17k was the right money. Perhaps $25 not crazy if serial/sales info was intact...maybe buyer not fully aware of meaning of this?
2446cSN as we discussed before, value with correct parts £25-30k, result no surprise.
The white orange boy initially looks high, lets disect... if a complete set with filled papers not crazy as think watch head only is £10-12k, so if just blank paper set, then maybe £13-14k. Add in a high beat movement and some tropicality...not a surprising result to me.
Examined closer not an outrageous sale at all but nice to see good values for Heuers and suspect we will see more interesting lots in auctions next year too.
Cheers
