This one sold at $20,515 (final price to buyer) . . . seems about right to me.
Not the most desirable version; heavy oxidation; some connection with Formula One.

: Here's an interesting one being sold by Bonhams on December 16,
: as listed here -- www.bonhams.com/auctions/22790/lot/83/
: An 18 karat gold Carrera, Reference 1158, with a connection to Clay
: Regazzoni as described in the auction catalog: Sergio Vezzali,
: born 1933 in Vignola, Modena, was a Ferrari works driver during
: the heyday of Formula 1. After working as a mechanic in a small
: garage he joined the Ferrari team in 1957 and remained there for
: over 30 years. During his time there he encountered many of the
: legends of Formula 1 from Peter Collins to Nigel Mansell.
: However it was his friendship with Clay Regazzoni that defined
: his career at Ferrari.
: They met in Maranello in 1970 and according to Vezzali "It was
: a sympathy at first sight". In recognition of their
: friendship at the end of Regazzonis Formula 1 season with
: Ferrari in 1976 he gifted Vezzali the current lot, a gold
: Carrera ref:1158. The two remained friends until the end of
: Regazzonis life.
: Interesting watch, isn't it?
: Compare it to the similar watch owned by Arturo Merzario, sold by
: Bonhams in September 2015 --
