I was visiting a friend for a Christmas drink today when i noticed something very special on the wrist of one of his friends, an 1158S !!! OMG !!!
You need to understand the setting, this was not a gathering of collectors or enthusiasts this was just an everyday group of guys that had 1 common friend & none of the others had any interest in watches what so ever.
I pulled up beside him & commented "what a lovely watch" & then pulled back my own sleeve to reveal my 1133B McQueen Monaco. He smiled & we each took the time to examine the others watch.
I snapped these casual iphone photos of the 2 together & exchanged details with him as i plan to charm this watch off his wrist even if it takes some time to work my magic upon him ;-)
Its so seldom you meet a random someone with a Heuer on but to find an 1158S on their wrist was a real bonus. I dont know if it was the rum spiked Glögg ( https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mulled_wine ), the good company or the thrill of seeing that watch out in the wild but i walked home with a cheeky xmas grin on my face.
