Our friend and super Heuer enthusiast, Morgan King, spotted this piece for sale online, and for less than $50, it was a nice pick-up.
For now, it is hanging in our dining room. Probably not a permanent installation, but at least my wife had a good sense of humor about it, announcing, "That's cool!"
Here is the dialog, from the movie Le Mans, that includes the quotation written across the bottom of the piece:
Michael Delaney: Well, it better be.
Lisa Belgetti: But what is so important about driving faster than anyone else?
Michael Delaney: Lotta people go through life doing things badly. Racing's important to men who do it well. When you're racing, it's life. Anything that happens before or after is just waiting.
Thanks, Morgan . . . we will think of you every time we dine!!
