Im seeking some opinions on a question that for some time has been bugging me....
Firstly, other than my affection for Heuer's, my other addiction is for Porsche, and mainly 911's. I work with a number of people that own, possess, drive, and race 911's and hence I have been fortunate enough to have experienced first hand models from 2.7 RS, to 2.8 and 3.0 RSR (including a Brumos car that ran at daytona), upto 993 GT2 Evo and current GT3's in road and race specification.
With regards to the older models, many of which are mint, they have been fully restored. Up until recently these cars have received parts from donor cars, or had parts made from the original plans, or parts located on a shelf. Now however, it is possible to purchase some of the parts from 'Porsche classic', which means the cars are now using original parts, but they are not, because they are new. Am I making myself clear?
Finally my question. If Tag Heuer were to start making for example 'original specification' Bezels for a 11630, would this de value watches with them fitted, make no difference or increase the value. I assume that there is also someone making 'non original replacements which are also exactly the same?
Or someone might say they already make parts for older watches.
