My online activity waned this past year due to a number of factors, some personal and some watch related. I guess you could say my watch addiction (vintage Heuer being my drug of choice) has been curtailed somewhat, more by external forces than personal choice. I do not have a long wish list but have found it harder and harder to add to my vintage Heuer collection as the competition has surely ballooned and supply of quality pieces all but dried up. Looking at the posts below you can clearly see that there are still opportunities to be had but for the older Heuer collectors like myself, price adjustment is not always easy to come to terms with. Reminding myself of my activity there were some additions that certainly are worthy of a “ best of “ post.
I must also say how wonderful it is to see so many new and active members there are participating here at Clubhouse OTD. The forum is certainly alive and full of the passion that goes hand in hand with collecting watches and particularly of the vintage Heuer variety. I may not post much but I visit on a regular basis and try not to miss a thing.
Finally, this post would not be complete without a mention of the Autavia Book. I must thank my co-author Richard Crostwaite for his tenacity and motivation to do a new book because I feel it was warranted and the end result is something I am very proud of. Thanks also to everyone who supported our efforts and purchased a copy. The response and feedback made it all the more worth while.
Best wishes to all and a happy and healthy 2016.
Regards
Paul

First up is a Carrera 1153S with the lowest serial number I have seen (147304)
Next was a mint Carrera 1153 BN to replace one I always regretted selling
Sticking with the Carrera theme I found this delightful Carrera 3647D
Then this at a time when Camaro's were coming of age - reference 7843 SN
And when many were entering the vintage Heuer world I went searching elsewhere for some variety - Favre leuba Bathy 50, IWC Aquatimer 812 & UG Compax to round off the year
