My bad, I missed the "one dealer's collection" bit in the original posting.
To your original point though, you're absolutely right - if you want any Rolex sport model, even the "rare" ones like the Paul Newman or a PCG anything, you can find one within a week. Look for a 2447 or screw-back 2446 and it'll take considerably longer!
