In which case, my bid was very close to yours. I didn't expect to be the highest bidder but was also surprised to see the hammer price.
Suffice to say, the auctioneer's estimate of EUR 500-700 was some way off the mark.
: Today a 110.xxx serial Autavia 2446 was sold at a local auction
: house for a whopping EUR 11.000! (8.600 + 28% fee). Watch was
: very nice, sharp case, very good dial and hands. Inscriptions on
: the back crisp. Bezel in very nice condition. Serial and
: reference were crisp. Bracelet aftermarket. Needless to say I
: was not the buyer: my limit was about half the final price....
