Well Chuck, here is the evidence, an Apple Powermac G5, and some Heuer watch.

You just have to conclude that Jonathan Ive (the Apple (& ipod) designer, for the uninitiated) was inspired by the 510.503.

Though the front grille is clearly also inspired by the perforated straps of the Carrera era.
