Hey Ben,
I am sure you are not the only one...who wanted take his chance on this watch...apparently problems with their online system and so to hear from your experience, also with their telephone system. I can imagine your (and others) frustration. Hard to understand.
That watch was a gorgeous and honest piece. One of the best, if not the best, seen in the market in recent years.
Let's not take the result of the Rindt in the Phillips auction as a reference point...but imagine indeed if that 1st execution was also listed in that specific auction. Personally the value of a 2446 1st execution is 3 to 4 times of that from a "standard" Rindt in similar condition, at least.
I think the actual seller of this watch should be the one who is most frustrated/angry with this "failure"...as he could have fetched a lot of thousands more...
My congratulations to the actual buyer of this watch. He did a great buy!
