I agree the drivers are team employees but each team is governed by a sanctioning body which should promote competition. We pay to see racing not to see a team decision that one driver wins and one driver loses. Drivers should do what the team asks but teams which stifle competition for some marketing reason should be penalized. I want to see racing not marketing.
