Good post Jeff. What is really surprising and frightening to me is that an auction house reputable or not can allow some of this rubbish to even make it into their catalogues. Where are the in-house experts who should be calling these watches out? I have only ever bought one watch on auction and that although real turned out to be a real lemon and never did run properly. I mush prefer dealing with the folks I have built up trust with and those who can be referred via excellent resources like yours.
