OK, I'll admit it . . . I have never listened to a podcast, at least not from beginning to end. Maybe a couple of minutes here or there, typically when someone else says, "You've got to listen to this."
In the car, I am listening to the radio . . . at home, it's either live sports or news, etc. And when I saw that this one would last for almost an hour, I assumed that it would be difficult to listen to the whole thing. But, hey . . . for Carlo I would do it!!
So I listened to 10 minutes during a break in the workday . . . and another 10 minutes during another break . . . and then 20 minutes while doing some administrative paperwork at the office . . . and then 20 minutes on the drive home. Done!! I had actually listened to my first podcast, from beginning to end!!
And here's the real surprise -- I really enjoyed it!! It was good fun to hear about Carlo's approach to collecting, about the life of a man who once collected pinball machines, version 63 of what "new old stock" and "mint" might mean, and about how those boxes and watches sometimes get mismatched. For a relative newcomer to the Heuers, Carlo has been a quick study, and it was fun learning some new things.
So thanks to "On Time" and to Carlo . . . And, yes, I am looking forward to listening to my second podcast, whatever that may be.
Best,
Jeff
