Hi Phranz, I'll jump in here again if I may.
You obviously have a keen eye! In answer to your question none of the hands on the 7220S on the OTD website appear to be original, which is why they don't match other examples you are seeing.
Generally, the examples shown on OTD are to portray the models and variations or that particular type and to be used for reference; it is not there necessarily to show the best, untouched, 'NOS' examples. Inevitably such vintage watches may have had replacement parts over time, which can create confusion when comparing images.
Your point on the hands is taken though and maybe a different example can be used that is more 'original'. I'll speak to Jeff and get his thoughts on it.
Hope that answers your question though?
Best,
Steve
: Dear Sirs!
: Recently I studied at a lot of net pics of the Camaro 7220S, and
: all of what I have seen has longer
: hands in the registers than the one given as exemplar on OTD.
: Also the lume in the central minute hand of the OTD example is
: longer than at all the others I know.
: And the sweep second hand has also a different shape at the short
: end.
: Maybe I am to much into „correctness“ of a given piece, but I
: wonder if there is any explanation why the OTD exemplar is
: different in these 3 details to the big majority of all the
: others?
: Here the OTD exemplar:

: Here how the others basically look:
