I am sorry to say i dont think the bracelet is original.
The HLC endlinks are correct for a 70's Carrera , the GF scissor hinge with locking bar & Heuer marked look correct HOWEVER all the beads of rice & outer flat links do not look Gay Freres to me.
I think someone has replaced the beads section to a tired bracelet.
You are also correct to speculate that its very hard & quite expensive to find HLF Autavia endlinks.
Sorry to inform you that you have a franken bracelet.
Good luck - Darren
: Hello everybody,
: I've got a question. About a year ago i bought a Gay Freres
: bracelet with HLC Endlinks for my Autavia. I thought it would
: not be so diffucult to find HLF endlinks but it is :) So it lays
: in the safe and one day i gonna find the HLF Endlinks (for a
: normal price...)
: But i've got a question about the bracelet. I've looked to many GF
: bracelets on the internet and saw some differences.
: - It's not folded, but it has pins
: - The "beads of rice" are not "round" but Flat
: It's stamped 2-70
: A few pictures. Can somebody tell me more? Thank you very much!
