A few pictures taken by Abel post service before he shipped off to me. He did an incredible job giving this one a full service....he thought perhaps it was the second one of its life. Not only is he the master of all things Heuer but, he is also quite the photographer!
Yes, this is indeed the 2446 from WOK and yes, watch exchange was the winner. Not sure they would have been as the general understanding is that the online bidding during the auction was working poorly at best. I know a couple of guys who's bids never went through. Anyway, a private collector (and now friend) in the UK purchased the watch from WE and after enjoying for a few months allowed me to purchase the watch from him. One other gentleman in the community who shall remain nameless was a huge help in making the deal come together. Eternally grateful.
Abel did an incredible job cleaning this one up. Was happy to hear that all of the radium is still intact including that found in the bezel.
Thank you again to those that helped make this happen.

: Remember the early Autavia, that was sold by Watches of
: Knightsbridge, back in July, for $57,800 (including buyer's
: premium), which we discussed here --
: http://chronocentric.com/forums/heuer/index.cgi?md=read;id=83227
: Interesting to see it on Instagram yesterday, posted by
: Watch_Xchange -- https://www.instagram.com/watch_xchange/
: Here was the Instagram caption -- "Great to see our recent
: first-execution Heuer Autavia 2446 featured in Simon de Burton's
: article "The Heuer Market Hits The Fast Lane" for
: @telegraphluxury."
: So it appears that Watch_Xchange was the buyer at the WOK auction,
: and they then flipped it to a collector.
: Does anyone here have the full serial number? Rich, maybe? Also,
: can we find a link to the Telegraph posting?
: Jeff
