Hi Neil, I too realised that my '90s Sinn 157 was not holding up so well when I took it running or simply hiking on the hills. So no more vintage watches on the wrist.
I switched to the true tool watch I have - the Sinn 756, first series with the Damasko ice-hardened steel case - and now that is following me on my walks and hikes on the hills and mountains: never anything really challenging, but on the other hand it's never missed a beat and I don't have to worry about it getting rained upon, or knocked or scratched.
Of course it would be much easier if one went for a quartz watch like a G-shock, but I banned quartz watches from my life a long time ago.
Cheers,
Fabrizio
