Hi Rob,
Up to case number 130xxx ?? approximately, there is the known engraving with the name, afterwards this little rainbow are etched at the edge of case back.
Do not know if it was a sharp end..... not Heuer typical
It appears to mark the attachment of the opening tool. In my observation this sign has usually disappeared.
