We have all followed the auction stories about the Skippererra earlier this week. It is amazing how prices have developed :-(.
I like Jeff's comments bout the watches we well remember to have missed ... this is also true for me. I remember well the first time a saw a nice Skipperrra offered by a credible Swiss seller on Ebay in 2008. It was advertised with the comment that "it is so rare that it is not even displayed in the Haslinger book". So I missed the Skipperrera but have been able to add two other Skippers (15640 and the Valjoux Skipper) to my collection.
Valjoux Skipper for me today. It brings a lot of colour to a grey day in Munich. "Come sail away - Ahoi"
Let's dedicate this day to the regatta and yachting chromos you have in your boxes. I want to see the Skippers, Yachtingsgrafs, Breitling Co-Pilot Yachting and so on.
Have a great weekend!
