Hi all
After a couple of years of casually searching, I finally pounced on a 1153 that arrived the other day. I'd welcome any thoughts on the watch (he said, bracing himself). I haven't had the back off yet, but the seller provided a movement shot that shows it as a clean looking Cal 11.
I think this is an early 2nd execution 1153S, looks to have been polished but still has a reasonably sharp edge, crown is sig ned Heuer, the case back is unmarked. I wonder if the hands are replacements and if the dial has been relumed at some point. The serial is 191nnn but I don't suppose there's any reliable way of dating or authenticating that...
Thanks in advance for any opinions :)
