I managed to watch most of the F1 and Indy 500. I thought it was interesting to watch and try and draw comparisons given Alonso's entry into the race. Would this decide the argument if he won or even placed? Ironically... the race ended the same for him as it has been in F1. Maybe a fitting result... the debate can continue.
The Dixon crash (image you posted) was shocking, and shows the amazing engineering that a crash of such disaster can have drivers walk away from them. The technological advances in safety progression is as amazing as the speed / handling areas when you see that incident again and again in replay.
