I wouldn't call the 2nd exec 2446 a top example, for eg the sub reg's are too marked for that, imo a mint dial would make a big difference, the market is getting pickier, there is and should be a very big price differential between the very best and average. Also £65k was the low estimate (guess someone put reserve on it) for the 1st exec 3646. That was above market value as it was not what I'd call mint, (case dinged, bezel marked, lume on dial not the best) so low estimate would have put buyers off who also had to pay 25%+ fees.

However the last two sales show that you can pick up some solid buys if you get involved, the Exotic, and 2447NST (not the Volvo), the Camaro and the 2447s looked decent buys.

Results were echoed on other brands, not just Heuer, throw in the fact that spring auctions often are lower than November and the results are not too big a surprise.
