with this being the season of the Basel show, most of the major watch manufacturers are announcing their new watches and new concepts.
Here's one that appeared on TAG-Heuer's home page earlier today.
Perhaps more interesting than the 1/100 second recorder are the other recorders. They seem to be using recessed disks / needles, kind of like the Monte Carlo? It does give the dial a relatively clean look, considering the busy motion of the 1/100 needle (which will rotate once per second).
Heuer had 1/100 timing in a stopwatch in the early part of the 20th century . . . interesting idea to design a chronograph around this concept.
So, what do we think of it?? Is this something that TAG-Heuer would be likely to produce?? Are we likely to buy it??
