I agree that there are some all black or truely black Camaro dials most probably the earlier batches but this so called brown colour is in fact a very deep tone not always obvious and is most noteably brown in strong light.
This is better illustrated by the set of images of my now ex 73463 NT below - same watch different light. Also I have included images of naked dials where the contrast between the main body of the dial including inner sub registers which is "brown" with the true black outer sub register ring. This contrast is more noticeable in strong or directional light but still visible on these images.
