I would suggest getting it into the hands of someone who is used to these problems and can check for moisture remaining. Richard Askham here in the UK has done an excellent job on my watches (no Mareographes, sob), most recently going way beyond expectation on a troublesome Calibre 11. There are watchmakers of repute in this country, pick one and get it checked out!
