It was not so long ago you could find these relatively easily BUT the scary part was trying to discern if they were a correct example as not so much was known about them. There was always a chance you'd end up buying a lemon with either a re-done dial or an outright franken Heuer.
Each of these examples sent me scrambling around the net trying to establish the watch was correct - it was a very enjoyable learning curve ;-)
From the photo above we have a few of my examples ( not all with waterproof pushers ).
From the back we have :
- a 1937 model.358 Flieger - Black/Gilt dial, mono pusher Valj.22
- a 1945 model.345 Tobacco dial - olive pushers powered by a Valj.71
- a ( circa ) 1950 model.2447 Tobacco dial , waterproof pushers & a Valj.72
- a ( circa ) 1953 model.2447 Black/Gilt dial, waterproof pushers & a Valj.72
These watches seem to be commanding a lot of attention & response on Instagram at the moment.
Cheers - Darren
