: Hi All
: I came across this chap while window shopping
: at my favourite vintage watch store during
: my lunch break.
: My interest has mainly been with Vintage Dive
: watches, but this is the first time I'd seen
: a Heuer StopWatch in person .....
: It's in pretty good condition overall and the
: movement (a Seven Jewels Heuer 7700) is
: spotless. Although the crystal (Acrylic ?)
: has some scratches and is slightly
: dicoloured, the Dial look's to be in
: Excellent condition. It's also running very
: well, with the hands resetting to 0 Spot-on.
: Would really appreciate any info, like when it
: was manufactured and an estimated value.
Howdy, The best way to find info on these is to go through the catalog section and see if you can find a picture of this watch or one very similar to it. From the looks of your posted pictures (very helpful!) I'd wager the watch you have is a late 1970's or early 1980's model (that's where I'd start) likely sold for both athletic and military training/use.
Value... Back when I was regularly looking for stopwatches I saw watches like these sell in the $125-$300 range fairly regularly, but it's been a couple of years and as these become in lower supply, demand will tend to drive prices upwards. I'd watch eBay auctions for more recent/accurate info on what the current "street" prices are.
Good Hunting!
