: more spring/grip when it is in the groove, then try the push

Wow, This is not an easy task ;-) I think I'm giving up for tonight. I'm scared I'm going to bend bezel. Hard to keep even pressure around entire bezel at same time while turning counter clockwise, maybe I need stronger fingers. I'm ok with hurting fingers, but scared of hurting bezel I'll keep trying. I pulled the retaining ring out and stretched it a bit and it seems to sit well in the grooves. I'm not sure if it is staying in the grooves while I'm pressing. Thanks.
