The FHH (Fondation Haute Horlogerie) will be hosting a new event in Miami, Florida, the weekend of Friday, February 16 through Monday, February 19 (President’s Day weekend), called “Watches and Wonders”. In simplest terms -- think of this as a version of the SIHH show, that was just held in Geneva, traveling to the Miami Design District.
Approximately 20 leading watch brands will participate in the “Watches and Wonders” event, including TAG Heuer, Lange, AP, Cartier, F. P. Journe, Hublot, IWC, JLC, Panerai and Vacheron Constatin. These brands will be highlighting the new watches that they have just introduced for 2018. There will also be workshops and lectures, over the course of the weekend. Here is a link to the Watches and Wonders website.
TAG Heuer will be participating in the Watches and Wonders weekend, and will also launch its “Museum in Motion”, with a grand opening party at the TAG Heuer Boutique, on Thursday evening, February 15. (This is the updated version of the Miami “Globetrotter” exhibition, which was rescheduled from September 2017, because of Hurricane Irma hitting Florida.) As part of the “Museum in Motion” event, TAG Heuer will send approximately 25 vintage chronographs from its Museum, and the Miami event will be the first stop, as these pieces tour the TAG Heuer boutiques around the United States.
Several of the vintage collectors who live in the United States are planning to attend these festivities. We will likely bring a few of our own vintage Heuers, to add to the TAG Heuer display and to share with the other vintage collectors. So imagine a total of 40 to 50 vintage Heuers on display.
Please let me know if you might like to join the group or if you would like further information about the Museum in Motion or Watches and Wonders events. For those who have made plans to attend, share your enthusiasm here.
This is our second US GTG in the last seven months and the first ever to be hosted by TAG Heuer. Thanks to our friends at TAG Heuer and to all the collectors who may be joining in the festivities!!
Thanks,
Jeff
