To me the Omega is the most beautiful but not the most practical. 18k white gold tachy bezel is a a scratch magnet and the date subdial at 12 is getting harder to focus on with my weary eyes.
The IWC Fliegerchrono is in my opinion the most practical and rock solid mechanical time measuring instrument that I have ever owned.
Dependable val. 7750 auto. movement tuned to IWC standards
Day and Date windows
Incredibly legible black dial with white arabics and plenty of superluminova
Functional but not frilly. All markings I need on a daily basis but none of the gadgets or gimick complications to distract
Timeless design in a discreet size case with the most comfortable and advanced bracelet system out there.
I would have to compare it to my wife's BMW 540i. Not too flashy but under the hood it is all business.
Best,
Mike
