IWC Offering Customization of Chronographs

Today, Hodinkee reports that IWC is offering customization of its Ingenieur chronographs.

So here's the question -- Would enthusiasts / collectors like to see TAG Heuer take this approach -- say for the Autavia or Monaco -- or is this best left to Bamford? How does this relate to the Limited Editions of TAG Heuer chronographs (Autavia / Carrera / Skipper) being created by Hodinkee / The Rake / UAE / Calibre11? Or am I mixing up the apples and the oranges?
