The other brands watched with envy, in 2016 and 2017, as the prices of the Heuers rose spectacularly. These Heuer prices are now giving back a little of their gains . . . which I have characterized as a "correction".
OK for the other brands to surge ahead now, and this sort of rotation between brands, that are generally in the same space, is natural. I expect that the Rolex surge has led the market, then and now. I don't really follow the action in other sport / chronograph brands -- Omega; Breitling; Longines; etc.
I've looked at the Sotheby's results again, and -- as a Heuer collector -- I don't see any cause for concern. The watches seemed to be nothing special; the prices seem OK.
