: what do the numbers on the caseback signify? i
: mean each set of numbers?
First four numbers: Material-group and material- class (i.e. : 66 means Watch , 45 means Chronograph)
Following two numbers: Country-code (12 for Germany i.e made for German forces)
Following seven numbers: counting number
: also are the numbers exactly the same on every
: watch, or is it just the last few that
: changes per watch or series, or.....?
Identical watch-models wear identical numbers. (Serial numbers in addition). Doesn't matter which manufacturer (The Tutima and the Orfina Bund chrono-models , powered by the Lemania 5100 have the same identification number, and they look absolutely equal. There's no manufacturers name on the dial!)
: i have been hunting the internet for caseback
: pics, but i haven't found any as of yet,
: other than the one on otd and a dealer site
: which the numbers matched up
: exactly....that's what got me going, on
: trying to figure it out. a big thanks in
: advance for any attempts, educated guesses,
: or answers.
You're welcome
: j.h.
Greetings from Germany
