My office was on 57th Street, down the block from Plaza Watch, and I used to go there once a week. Even sold them a platinum, diamond encrusted Rolex presidential NBA draft edition watch given me by a client (gaudiest thing I'd ever seen, weighed a ton, completely unwearable unless you were a rap star). Every once in a while, they had something that was actually good and could be negotiated down to a relatively non-absurd price. But they were . . . imaginative in their efforts to sell complete crap.
