: 944 days after the original owner first contacted me about the
: Autavia that he had purchased in July 1969, it has arrived and
: is on my wrist. It's the version that came immediately after (or
: perhaps contemporaneous with) the Chronomatics; the version used
: on early marketing materials for Heuer's automatic chronographs.
: Notice the heavy red accents on the dial and the white
: chronograph second hand.

: Absolutely thrilled with the watch and full of gratitude to the
: gentleman who contacted me a few days ago with the suggestion
: that it should be in my collection (and some others who helped
: along the way . . . you know who you are!!).
