It is difficult to date these watches.

We know that there were two versions of the 1950s Solunars (easiest way to tell the difference is the size / construction of the pusher for the tide dial), but we don't have good information about when Heuer cut over to the first execution to the second execution. I don't believe that any of these Solunars appeared in catalogs. And, yes, we have serial numbers in the 917xxx range, on other watches, but it is difficult to plot these onto a time line.

Yours is the second execution of the Solunar. Looking at the style of the case and the markings, my best guess would be mid-to-late 1950s.

It's a great looking watch, whenever it might have been made!!
