: The Reference 404 is interesting . . . we see it as far back as
: circa 1940, and in the 1950s, it was the companion to the Ref
: 2444. Same basic case as the 2444, with the 2444 having three
: registers (V72) and the 404 having two registers (V23).
: Distinctive features of the 404 / 2444 are the rounded lugs and
: the very small pushers.
: Most of the 404s have dauphine hands and thin metal markers . . .
: this one is the "Radium" version, with Arabic numerals
