The November auctions in Geneva are coming right up, and we will cover them more methodically, but in the meanwhile, here's a watch that should attract some attention.
Skipperrera; serial number 105645 . . . probably not the best sample we have seen -- case seems to have been polished; chronograph second is not correct; and the inner bezel / tension ring looks pretty tired. A bit of a shame to see this one being offered, as the vintage Heuer market attempts to recover.
Catalog listing is HERE. There is only one other Heuer in the sale, a Bund.
This should be interesting!!

: While we're still debating the font of the Autavia script in the
: IDF specimen that will go under the hammer in Geneva soon,
: Phillips has already announced another auction in Hong Kong
: (which puzzingly has a lower number than the Geneva though it
: comes later?).
: And guess what - in the very few Heuers they're listing (link here:
:
: ) is another IDF Autavia, this time with a very thick font - see
: for yourself here:

: Quite mysterious to me how can the bracelet upper end that joins
: the case be so ruined - almost looks like sprayed with white
: paint? - when the rest is almost mint.
: The estimate seems quite optimistic to me, but let's see.
: Cheers,
: Fabrizio
