Is the service only displaying the items and selling them on the seller’s behalf?
What would a buyer get for the hefty buyer’s premium that auction houses typically charge on top of hammer price? Not even some due diligence? Just some high resolution pictures on demand, a report and maybe a glossy catalogue.
Also leaving aside the questionable public photo, much to be disappointed here.
Sure caveat emptor but it would only be fair for a high-profile house to do their homework too and avoid embarrassment such as this seems slated to be.
