Saw this Instagram story from TAG Heuer . . . I'm not sure of the circumstances, but this newest Carrera is highly recommended.
So the obvious question -- were these reserved for customers, who then failed to make the purchases, or unsold watches? It does get rather complicated, with the allotments to the different geographic markets, and the online plus boutique channels.
Similar occurrence -- a friend here in Atlanta got a call from an Omega boutique, in another state, asking whether he wanted one of the Ultraman Speedmasters. Yes, this limited edition sold out immediately, but then the watches still float around for a while, while purchases are made (or perhaps not made).
