R.i.p. Maddox & Schirra
: Last week, Fratello published a nice posting about the interview
: of astronaut Wally Schirra, by Chuck Moddox --
: https://www.fratellowatches.com/astronaut-wally-schirra-and-chuck-maddox/
: For those of you who may not be familiar with the astronauts and
: their watches, Schirra was the first astronaut to wear an Omega
: Speedmaster in space. He was also the only astronaut to fly
: Mercury, Gemini and Apollo missions. Yes, we can say it now --
: Schirra was probably Chuck's favorite astronaut!!
: The interview occurred in early 2007. Schirra passed away a few
: months later and Chuck passed away the following year (May
: 2008).
: Those of you who knew Chuck, and especially those who spoke to him
: on the phone, will enjoy hearing his voice again.
: Sincere thanks to Fratello for publishing this wonderful
: "attic find".
: Jeff
