Heuer 844 Monnin - Tag Heuer Vintage Service?

Hello,

I need to have the movement serviced on my Monnin 844 serviced. I've contacted Tag Heuer about their service options - they have a "Vintage Workshop" in Switzerland that sounds quite pricey.

Has anyone had experience using this service? I'm trying to decide whether I should spend the premium to have Tag service the piece directly vs. looking for a cheaper local option. This watch has sentimental value for me beyond the resale value - I am very interested in having this watch last for another 40 years.

Also, I'm located on the west coast of the US if anyone has more local suggestions!
