I thought the same however the crystal is so thick and hard and not domed. When using a crystal lift tool it will not bend and release the tension and worries me to damage the crystal. Maybe the correct technique is to pull out the crown first, who knows?

: You access the movement by removing the crystal. I don't know
: the exact details about the technique, but I assume that --
: after pulling off the crystal -- there is some trick to removing
: the crown / stem, to free up the movement.
