Step 1. Pull out the crown. Some force is required as the force of the split stem jaws needs to be overcome.
Step 2. Remove the crystal. A good technique is to blow air into the crown tube. A rubber air puffer works well, or compressed air at a low pressure also works.
Step3. The movement will now lift straight out.

: I thought the same however the crystal is so thick and hard and not
: domed. When using a crystal lift tool it will not bend and
: release the tension and worries me to damage the crystal. Maybe
