(from me, a member of group of vintage watch collectors who pay £000s for timepieces that may occasionally be fit for purpose and tell the time....sometimes. (Whereas a shoe is either a shoe or it isn't.))

My favourite line- 'The shoes sold to collector Miles Nadal, following his purchase of the auction's other 99 lots last week in a private sale.' He must have nearly as many shoes as my wife!
