From the collector's perspective, this is an easy call. These watch are only original once, and you seem to have an original watch. I definitely would not want to be the one to change this one from an original dial to a refinished dial.

In terms of reading the dial, in the photos, I can see all the letters, all the numerals, and all the marks, so that is enough for me.

Mechanically, with proper servicing, this should be a reliable timekeeper.
