1)autavia chrono 2)heuer 1000

Gentlemen, please advise,

I have an old Autavia chrono from the early '70's, I believe (the bezel ring does not say "tachymeter" on it), which was passed on to me by my father who got it in Europe. My first question: is it at all water resistant? It does not have a screw down crown, it doesn't say water resistant anywhere, but the catalogs would all have me believe . . . thanks.

Question #2: when did Heuer divers start to include "1000" on the dial?
