This rare beauty just showed up today!... Ref. 1158, a recent eBay find, the seller is a TAG Heuer employee in the US... he showed it to Jack Heuer on a recent trip to the home office, and was told that 50 a year were produced for 5 years... so only 250 total!
I'm not a gold guy, but this is definitely one of the coolest gold watches I could think of wearing... Nice gold heft too, it's 10 grams heavier than my 1153...
Needs a gold Heuer buckle though, so if anyone knows the whereabouts...
Maybe I can get some better pix so one can be placed in the automatic Carrera section of OTD...
