Re: Macro Photography - GLARE -
In Response To: Macro Photography - GLARE - ()

: Fellow Heuer collectors and photo buffs. What's
: the current wisdom on cutting down on the
: glare from the watch crystals when taking
: macro shots. I've got a Nikon Coolpix 5400
: that does a great job - except for the
: GLARE! I've tried just about everything. Any
: tips from the experts?

Don't use the on-camera flash! Use an accessory Speedlight 50 and attach with extension cord to the hot shoe. Mount to the side (2-3 feet) to light the watch. You may have to play with your settings a little, but this should work. Aiming flash into a reflection umbrella may also help.
